Are you a translator of German or foreign language texts and require advice on legal matters related to your profession? Do you need support in negotiating and drafting translator contracts or fee arrangements? Or are you a publishing company or editor of works to be translated and have a legal advisory need in this regard?
Offer
The Copyright Act grants original copyright protection to translators of foreign language texts. Publishers who wish to use a translation therefore require a license from the translator. We support translators in securing their rights, in drafting and negotiating contracts, and, if necessary, in enforcing them in court. We advise publishers and editors in the creation of model contracts or individual translator contracts, and in the context of their negotiation and enforcement.
