No satisfaction for dead celebrities

Violations of personal rights can, among other things, result in monetary compensation for the injured party if the resulting (immaterial) damage cannot otherwise be compensated. The Federal Court of Justice had to deal with the question of whether this claim for damages is inheritable and denied this question with a judgment of April 29, 2014 (File No. VI ZR 246/12).
